Wu Jianping, Doctor of Computer, is the professor of Computer Department of Tsinghua University, and Director of CERNET, Director of Tsinghua Network Center, as well as Commissioner of CNNIC and 863 Information Expert Committee. He is also the Director of ICANN Council.
He is mainly engaged in research and education of computer network. He presided more than 20 state key projects, and published more than 150 papers, which won many government awards. He presided the establishing of CERNET and NSFCNET. He is the main sponsor and organizer of China next generation Internet.
