Forum on International Cooperation along the Digital Silk Road held at the 5th WIC

Organized by National Development and Reform Commission of the P.R.China and the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs, co-organized by China Center for Promoting the Belt and Road Initiative, National Development and Reform Commission of the P.R. China and the Internet Society of China, the Forum on International Cooperation along the Digital Silk Road was held at the 5th World Internet Conference in Wuzhen on Nov 8, 2018.

Focusing on international cooperation on building the "Digital Silk Road", the forum invited outstanding representatives of government officials, entrepreneurs and experts from home and abroad to discuss "The Functions of Government" and "The Roles of Enterprises" when pursuing the Digital Silk Road. It was expected to promote international cooperation and achieve pragmatic results through ideas collision and consensus achieved on cooperation.

Liu Liehong, Vice Minister of Cyberspace Administration of China, and Ren Zhiwu, Deputy Secretary General of National Development and Reform Commission of the P.R.China, deliverd opening remarks for the forum.

Shaukat Aziz (Pakistan Former Prime Minister), Omar Bin Sultan Al Olama (UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence), Ana Julia Marine Lopez (Deputy Minister, Cuba Ministry of Communications), Chen Zhaoxiong (Vice Minister, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the P.R.China), and Xiong Qunli (Chairman, China Electronics Technology Group Corp), gave keynote speech on topic of "Synergize Connectivity of Development Policies through Co-consultation and Sharing" at the forum. 

Panelists from NetEase, Inspur, iQiyi, Cisco, China Arab TV, DHgate, Renmin University of China, Flint Global, Singapore PHQ Holdings, Eutelsat etc discussed topics on Developing the Digital Economy for "Digital Silk Road" Construction and How to Promoting Innovation and Entrepreneurship by Sharing Development Opportunities.
