On May 26, China International Big Data Industry Expo 2022 held online, the Expo was hosted by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the State Internet Information Office, and the Guizhou Provincial People's Government, supported by the Ministry of Commerce.

On the afternoon of May 26, the "Data Security Forum" hosted by the Internet Society of China was held online. Themed as "Improving the Data Security Governance System and Building a Data Security Industry Ecosystem" , the forum invited government leaders, well-known experts and scholars, and industry leaders to join Taiwan offers wisdom to jointly explore the road of data security development.

Mr.Huang Chengqing, Vice-president of ISC, congratulated the forum on behalf of ISC, and expressed thanks to friends who have long cared about and supported data security work. He pointed out that the intensive release of data security-related policies and measures is conducive to promoting the rapid growth of data security enterprises, research and service institutions, expanding the data security industry, improving data security assurance capabilities, and promoting data innovation and application. He called on colleagues in the industry to work together to explore new ideas, new opportunities, and new approaches for the development of data security, to explore new trends and new phenomena in the development of data security, to promote the healthy and high-quality development of the data industry, and to contribute to the construction of a digital China and a smart society. 

Mr.Du Guangda, deputy director of the Cyber Security Administration of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, pointed out in his speech that we must adhere to the overall development and security, and follow the work idea of "systematic, focused, and step-by-step" to promote data security work to get off to a good start. He said that to improve the data security governance system, we must closely focus on the main line of important data protection, take multiple measures in terms of institutional mechanisms, standards and specifications, and technical capabilities to build important data identification and reporting, security protection, risk assessment, and emergency response. Security governance closed loop.He also announced the establishment of the Data Security Industry Expert Committee. He expressed the hope that the Data Security Industry Expert Committee will broadly gather and deeply leverage the intellectual support of experts to carry out data security work in a more extensive, powerful and instructive manner.

Mr.Wu Hequan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and director of the Advisory Committee of ISC, delivered a keynote report on the theme of "Developing Data Elements and Protecting Data Security". He focused on the characteristics of data elements in nine aspects: data visibility, data comprehension, data linkability, data trustworthiness, data interoperability, data security, data assets, data attribution, and data openness，and analyzed its accompanying data security issues.

The forum held the Inauguration Ceremony of the Data Security Industry Expert Committee.
