The 2009 ISC e-Charity Directional Motion Racing held in Beijing

The date of May 25th is not only 8 years anniversary of ISC, but also the 5th ISC "e-Charity Day" initiative which is an annual charity event calling for more participation and contribution from Internet community to make the Internet accessible for the people in the poor and less-developed areas in China, especially in the mid and west areas.

To fullfill the mission of e-Charity Day, ISC organized the e-Charity Directional Motion Racing in Beijing on May 27, 2009, atracting a large number of Interent companies" participation. The Racing had gained great support from Tencent Charity Fundation and Kong.net. Representatives from Internet companies including DNS.com.cn, HiChina, Oak Pacific Interactive, Antiy, ChinaCache, Netease, VodOne, Tixa Internet Technology, Yesky, Beijing Comon Internet, China Netizen, China Soft Investments and Alibaba joined in the Racing. And all the registration fee (Excluding the the costs of Racing) would be donated to build Internet-based classrooms for the students in Gansu and Qinghai Provinces, the poor and less-developed areas in China.

ISC calls for a continuous and close attention on the e-Charity initiative to maximize the efforts on narrowing the digital divide, building a inclusive and harmonious information society. To encourage the Internet company which made outstanding charity contribution, ISC will reward it the "Charity Internet Company Reward" at the 2009 China Internet Conference held in Sep this year.
