On May 4, 2023, the Internet Society of China (ISC) issued the Self-discipline Convention for Increasing the Transparency of Internet Platform Rules in Beijing. Huang Yejing, deputy director general of the Information and Communications Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), attended the meeting and praised the joint efforts to the Convention.  He Guili, vice president and deputy secretary-general of ISC, introduced details of the Convention.

The first signed members included 71 enterprises. Representatives from Taotian Group, TikTok and Baidu shared their practice to implement the Convention.

The Convention is a significant step to guide platform enterprises to increase the transparency of platform rules, maintain fair competition, reasonable and orderly market environment, and promote the healthy and sustainable development of China's Internet industry.
