On March 28th, the 1st "Chinese Domain Name Day" Activity was jointly held by ISC, China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), China Organizational Name Administration Center (CONAC ) and Computer Network Information Center (CNIC).

The activity built upon three sessions: round table meeting, special report and targeted training, to share and discuss the practice and measure to promote and improve the development of Chinese domain name.

The initiative of Chinese Domain Name Day aims to positively respond to the call of UA Day of ICANN and UASG, encourage more Chinese to use Chinese characters online, support the integrated development of the Internet with all economic and social sectors, and enhance China's influence and ability in the global Internet rule-making.
