Organized by the Internet Society of China (ISC), the 2019 (18th) China Internet Conference was held at the Beijing National Convention Center on July 9-11. More than 500 speakers and 30,000 representatives from government sector, Internet company, civil society and academic institution, and news media attended the 3-day event.

Mr. Zhao Houlin, Secretary General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), delivered a video addressing to the conference.

Mr. Chen Zhaoxiong, Vice Minister of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), Mr. Ren Zhiwu, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Development and Reform Commission, and Mr. Yin Yong, Deputy Mayor of Beijing attended the opening ceremony and delivered opening remark. 

Mr. Wu Hequan, President of ISC, delivered a welcome speech and expressed warm welcome and gratitude to those who give strong support to ISC. 

In the section Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Birth of the Internet and the 25th Anniversary of China's Access to the Internet, four inductees of the Internet Hall of Fame, Madam Hu Qiheng, Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, first President of ISC, and Mr. Qian Hualin, researcher of the Computer Network Information Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Fathers of the Internet Stephen Wolff, Father of Germany Internet Werner Zorn were invited to the anniversaries ceremony and sent words for the future of Internet.

High-level representatives from companies such as Alibaba, Tencent, Sogo, Qi An Xin presented keynote speech on topics of future Internet, industry Internet, AI and cyber security.

The 3-day CIC conference discussed a wide range of hot topics as 5G, IPv6, AI, financial technology, Internet talent, Internet education, Internet security and governance, intellectual property protection, prevention and governance of telecommunications network fraud, personal information and data protection etc that be intensively launched in 29 sub-forums.
