Hosted by the Organizing Committee of Global Internet Competition (GIC) of “Straight to Wuzhen”, and co-organized by the Internet Society of China (ISC), Internet Industry Association of Zhejiang Province, the Semi-finals of Consumer Internet Services Track of GIC was successfully held in Beijing on August 31.

Through the preliminary contest, 20 projects，selected from more than 300 candidate projects coming from 13 countries, won the pass entering into the Semi-finals.

After the roadshows competition in Semi-finals, 10 projects was selected into the final competition, which will be held during the World Internet Conference in Wuzhen.

Organized by the People's Government of Zhejiang Province of China, the GIC, an important part of the World Internet Conference, is a year-long global event for the advance of the digital economy. 

By exploring new technologies, models and business forms of the Internet, the Competition is a key platform for cooperation on Internet projects, technologies, talents and investment between Chinese and global companies. The Competition is committed to promoting global Internet cooperation and innovation, unleashing entrepreneurship of Internet start-ups, and attracting more Internet talents. 

Through precise matchmaking of global resources in the Internet industry, the Competition has made its contribution to the common prosperity and co-governance of the Internet and the rapid development of the digital economy.

The 2021 GIC was consisted of parallel contests in five industries, i.e. the Consumer Internet Services, the Industrial Internet, AI, Integrated Circuits and 5G Technology.
