ISC Released the Proposal on Personal Information Protection

Adopted at the 30th meeting of the Standing Committee of the Thirteenth National People's Congress in August, the "Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China" went into effect on November 1st.

To echo this remarkable event, the Internet Society of China (ISC) released the Proposal on Personal Information Protection the same day, calling for the Internet industry, especially its members to:

1. Strictly abide by the laws and implement the legal requirements.
2. Establish a sound management system and assume the responsibility for information protection.
3. Carry out compliance audit and evaluation, and be properly subject to public scrutiny.
4. Strengthen online security education and training to improve safety protection capabilities.
5. Actively participate in general education and promote industry exchanges and cooperation.
