According to the solution of decreasing spam and the follow up investigation to the IP address of mail servers sending spam in the 2nd list of declaration, Anti-Spam Coordination Team of Internet Society of China declare to stop filtering 18 IP address on consensus, which were included in the 27 IP address of mail servers sending spam filtered by ASCT from Dec.25, 2003. The rest 9 IP address were kept filtering because of the continuous sending of spam, and included in the 3rd Edition List of Mail Servers Sending Spam
After ASCT verified mail servers, which were impeached to send spam, through a discussion with its members, decided to declare the 3rd Edition List of Mail Servers Sending Spam to the public, which including 626 IP address of mail servers sending spam inside and outside China. There are 62 in the main land of China, 65 in Taiwan, China, 6 in Hongkong, China, 493 outside China in the list. Please find the details on http://www.isc.org.cn/.
ASCT expects that the relevant companies and organizations would deal with spam as soon as possible, and will do the following up investigation momentarily. The companies and organizations declared on the list have a month’s time to act into spam decreasing. If they continue to tolerate spam sending via their servers by Mar. 20, 2004, ASCT might take a further plan to push them into anti-spam action. If they do deal with spam sufficiently, they might be deleted on the list, over the discussion and agreement by ASCT. All the Members in the team will endeavor consistently to improve the action of anti-spam both in technology and management in the purpose of the healthy development of China Internet.
