The 20th Annual Meeting of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) is hosted by the Government of Norway in Lillestrøm from 23 to 27 June 2025. Internet Society of China (ISC) joined the annual IG meeting and organized different theme events.

On June 26, ISC jointly with the CAST-UN CCIT organized the workshop "AI Innovation: Responsible Development & Ethical Imperatives", gethering a diverse group of stakeholders from governments, civil society, the private sector, and technical communities,  to exchange experiences and engage in cross-sector dialogue with international peers to get insights into effective approaches to develop AI governance models that balance innovation with accountability, and also identify opportunities for global partnerships. 

Mr. Huang Chengqing, Vice President of ISC and Director-General of China IGF, delivered opening remark for the workshop. Mr. Daiwei, Deputy Secretary General of ISC and Deputy Director of China IGF, served the event moderator.

Prof. Gong Ke (Chair of CAST-UN CCIT), Guilherme Canela De Souza Godoi (Director for Digital Inclusion, Policy and Transformation & IFAP Secretary, UNESCO), Prof. Yik Chan Chin (Associate Professor, Beijing Normal University), Prof. Ricardo Israel Robles Pelayo (Professor of Escuela Bancaria y Comercial, Mexico), Dr. Daisy Selematsela (University of the Witwatersrand: Library), Ms. Zhang Xiao (Deputy Director-General of CNNlC, member of the lGF MAG, Executive Deputy Director of China lGF) joined as the panelists to share their insights. 

On June 24, Mr. Daiwei joined as the panelist to present a speech at the open forum "Building an International AI Cooperation Ecosystem", organized by the Cyberspace Administration of China.

In the evening of June 24, the social event of "China IGF Reception in Oslo Norway" was hosted by the China IGF and organized by ISC, attracting more than 100 participants from the global IG community.
