On Feb 27th, hosted by China IGF, Internet Society of China (ISC), Institute for AI International Governance of Tsinghua University (I-AIIG), the 5th China Internet Governance Forum was held in Beijing.

Mr. Wang Lei (Coordinator for Cyber Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China), Ms. Chen Jiachun (Vice President and Executive Deputy Secretary General of ISC), Mr. Huang Chengqing (Director General of China IGF and Vice President of ISC), Mr. Liangzheng (Vice President of I-AIIG), and Mr. Liu Yulin (Director General of CNNIC) delivered opening remarks for the event.

More than 60 representative delegats from multistakeholders attended to share insights and observation on the current status and development trend of global cyberspace and digital governance as well as put forward working suggestion to the UN IGF and the China IGF community. The representative delegats covered a wide range of different stakeholders, including MAF, CAC, MIIT, CAICT, Fudan University, Beijing Normal University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Fuxi Institution, China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom, Alibaba, Baidu, Ant Group, SenseTime, iFlytech, ZTE etc.

Ms. Zhang Xiao (Member of IGF-MAG, Executive Deputy Director of China IGF, Deputy Director General of CNNIC) introduced and summarized the work done by the China IGF for the past year, for example, worked together with the Chinese community to contribute to the Global Digital Compact process. The forum was chaired by Mr. Dai Wei (Deputy Director of China IGF, Deputy Secretary General of ISC).
