On November 26, Samiran Gupta, Vice President of Stakeholder Engagement and General Manager for the Asia-Pacific of ICANN, along with Zhang Jianchuan, Stakeholder Engagement Senior Director of Asia, and Li Guanghao, Global Domain Names Program Director, visited the Internet Society of China (ISC).

Dai Wei, Deputy Secretary-General of ISC welcomed the ICANN delegation and introduced the work of ISC, and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest, including Chinese domain names and their universal acceptance, as well as the upcoming round of new generic top-level domain (gTLD) programs. He stated that ISC will support and call for China Internet community to engage more actively in international exchanges and ICANN's activities.

Samiran Gupta recognized ISC's efforts in supporting UA for internationalized domain names and emphasized that China's best practices in promoting and applying IDNs should be showcased on a broader platform.

Both sides expressed their intention to strengthen communication and deepen cooperation going forward.
