On January 7, the 2026 (16th) China Internet Industry Annual Conference, hosted by the Internet Society of China (ISC), was held in Beijing. At the event, the ISC released the "Top 10 Events Shaping China's Internet Industry Development in 2025".

Since 2012, the ISC has been releasing the "Top 10 Events Shaping China's Internet Industry Development" annually. Based on a systematic review of the key policies, technologies, and industrial progress of the year, the ISC distills the top 10 major achievements that have exerted a profound impact and guiding role on China's Internet development. The initiative aims to provide a reference for industry practitioners to look ahead to the key areas and development trends of the Internet industry in the coming year.

This year's highlighted events include: the national comprehensive implementation of the "Artificial Intelligence +" strategy, the rapid enhancement of the foundational capabilities of domestic large language models, the positive progress made in the construction of national data infrastructure etc.
